Bishop James Conley kicked off his Catholic Schools Week visits Jan. 29 at Lourdes Central in Nebraska City, leading a Eucharistic procession through the school and celebrating Mass for the entire student body, faculty and staff. It was the first of several such visits to schools across the Diocese of Lincoln in honor of the national celebration of Catholic Schools Week, Jan. 31 - Feb. 6.

Nebraska City parishes had a combined Corpus Christi procession. The procession started at St. Benedict Church and processed to two home altars before concluding with Benediction and reposition at St. Mary Church. More than 100 pilgrims were part of the procession, including the resident priests and seminarians in Nebraska City.
